How to read our guides, sources and illustrations.

Guides and vehicle reviews

The articles currently published on Motoring Desk are introductory guides. They do not claim hands-on road testing, measured performance results or review scores. Any future vehicle test should identify the vehicle and the basis of the assessment.

Sources

Where a guide refers to official checks or specialist guidance, it includes a direct link. Vehicle specifications, pricing and rules can change. Use the current source and the manufacturer’s documentation for decisions about a particular vehicle.

Images

The launch articles use AI-generated automotive illustrations. Captions identify these images. They are not documentary photographs of tested vehicles and should not be used to infer model specifications or equipment.

Commercial content

The launch guides do not contain paid placements or affiliate buying links. Commercial or sponsored material, if introduced, should be labelled so the reader can recognise it.

The limits of a general guide

A general article can help you prepare questions. It cannot inspect a used car, diagnose a fault or assess an electrical installation. Use qualified professionals for those tasks and refer to the documentation for your specific vehicle.
